A round table conference was organised on 13th February, 2016 at the National Media Centre, Shankar Chowk, Gurgaon. The three panelists who participated in the conference on the subject "Strategic Dimensions of the Indian Ocean" were - Prof. Baladas Ghoshal, Mr Chandra Mohanand Prof. IN Mukherji. They spoke on "Changing Geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific", "Rising tension in the South China Sea" and "Blue Economy" followed by a number of questions and answers. The panelists unfolded the entire panorama of International activities in the Indian Ocean, the contending interest of major world powers in it and the grave necessity for Indian Ocean nations to defend and promote their interests unitedly in the face of growing international rivalries imping on the region's peace and security.
